Kumar is nationalist to the core and by Azadi he means “freedom in India, not freedom from India” which Kumar did say in his speech. After it, some top media anchors went to town on the point that Kumar’s Azadi is different from the Azadi slogans which you hear in Kashmir.

আজকের লেখা এমন এক জন মানুষকে নিয়ে, যিনি গত পনেরো বছর ধরে সেই লড়াইটা চালিয়ে যাচ্ছেন, যা ব্যাখ্যা করা যায় কানহাইয়ার বক্তৃতা থেকেই একটা বাক্য ধার করে— ‘‘দেশ থেকে মুক্তি নয়, দেশের ভিতরে থেকেই মুক্তি চাই আমরা।’’
